For Collectors

Welcome to OnaiiArt by Jedidah Chick

Welcome — whether you're browsing, discovering or collecting, this page brings you closer to the stories, materials and meaning behind my work.

Here you’ll find everything you need to understand my process, my collections and the value behind each piece.

Why Collectors Choose My Work

🤎 Meaningful Stories & Cultural Sensitivity

“My work is rooted in my post-colonial Zimbabwean upbringing and a desire to reclaim and celebrate the powerful, often untold stories of historical African queens.”

🤎 Signature Style

  • Queens, animals and the untold stories of African history
  • Coastal scenes that hold quiet strength and peace
  • Florals that soften and illuminate a space
  • Warm palettes inspired by Southern Africa
  • Mixed textures that invite both emotion and attention

🤎 Rarity & Limited Supply
I create a small number of originals each year and many collections are never repeated.

🤎 Rising Value Over Time

I began selling originals in 2022 to friends for £35–£95. There was a moment when I priced a painting at £300 because I didn’t want to let it go — and a military collector bought it anyway.

Today, originals range between £450–£3000, and many sell immediately upon release, reflecting how demand has grown faster than supply.

🤎 Professional Quality

My professional training includes mixed-media and digital art tuition with the artist Rick Novak, where I developed techniques in impressionist painting, Corel and Clip Studio alongside my own studio practice.

My work is deeply research-led. I begin with historical study, cultural reference checking and archival research. I build digital mockups using AI and design tools to refine composition, symbolism and accuracy before painting.

I use Winsor & Newton Professional paints, archival surfaces and varnish for longevity.

Why People Invest in Fine Art
