Queen Nzinga ruled the kingdoms of Ndongo and Matamba in the 1600s and resisted Portuguese expansion for decades through diplomacy and war. Here she stands in the long grass with a lion at her side, her bangles painted by hand in metallic paint so they catch the light.
Part of Queens of Courage and Community, a weekend print drop inspired by this year's Black History Month theme, Honouring Our Communities.
Delivery: Each print is made to order once the drop closes, then hand-finished by Jedidah in metallic gold and left to dry fully before it's carefully packed. Prints will be dispatched by Friday 20 November, and she'll email you as soon as yours is on its way.
