Why Jedidah Paints African Queens

Jedidah Chick’s African Queens collection celebrates remarkable women from African history whose stories were largely absent from the history she learned growing up in Zimbabwe. Through richly textured mixed-media paintings, African wildlife and symbolism, the collection explores courage, resilience and the difference these women made within their communities.

Jedidah has recorded a video below for you about this collection.
